I feel like I’m supposed to be learning new things about myself or that it should be a little more challenging than this but it’s not, and makes me feel like I’m doing it wrong. I really like it because it’s super relaxing and a good way to escape the chaos of life even if it’s just for 10-20 min, but I’m not so sure it has any deeper effect than that.”

Meditating is a unique individual experience.
Everyone has their own thoughts and emotions.
For some this means when they start meditating it appears easy, for others it can be overwhelming.
As your meditation progresses you will understand yourself with greater and greater depth. This may be the deeper effect that you are looking for.
