“is there a way to meditate to calm down your brain when you’re in bed trying to sleep but you find yourself only turning and tossing for hours and hours with your mind wandering non-stop?”
Let’s look at why this happens.
Your brain is busy and active all day.
It doesn’t have time to process all the information coming in.
The only time your brain gets space to think is when you’re lying in bed in the dark.
So your brain does just that, it thinks and thinks when all you want is to fall asleep.
Meditating gives your brain space to process the information coming in and to think.
If you meditate you will find that when you’re lying in bed your brain is calm and at rest making it easy to fall asleep.
Try meditating daily in the morning when you wake up for 3 minutes and in the evening before bed for 3 minutes to help with your insomnia.
