I am wondering is it okay to lie down whilst meditating?
My hips and legs are currently not that flexible, is it okay to lie down for more comfort?
Also, would you recommend yoga before or after meditating?

Lying down is comfortable for meditating.
You can also try meditating in a reclined chair that has head support.
Yoga before meditation works well as you can then fully relax whilst meditating.
