Hello,
I’ve been trying and quitting meditation for probably over a year now, as I’ve been having challenges meditating daily or even weekly.
I work in a very high stressed environment (Project Manager) and also have some side projects that I’m committed to.
Meditating daily would help me take some ease off the stress and reduce general anxiety. But the problem is every time I do meditate, it feels like I’m doing it wrong?
I’ve managed to identify that my inability to relax and focus on the present is one of the main factors contributing, as well as my impatience.
I have tried apps, guided meditation and even Yoga in hopes of making myself disciplined enough to stick to a routine daily but I always ultimately fail each time.
Does you have any advice on how to begin meditating and integrating it as a daily component?”
Start small and build up a meditation habit.
Try meditating for 3 minutes in the morning after you wake up and for 3 minutes in the evening before you go to sleep.
Do this every day for 1 month.
This will build a daily meditation habit.
When meditation is part of your normal day you can try gradually increasing how long you spend meditating as your schedule allows.
