How to enjoy meditating?

“I’ve started meditating for both my mental health and spiritual growth a few days ago for 15 minutes a day and I don’t feel like I’m doing it right.

I have a hard time focusing on my breath at all and I get distracted literally every 5 seconds.

Most of the time I’m just waiting for my timer to go off or thinking about work despite my efforts to keep a clear mind and focus on my breathing.

It just doesn’t seem to be working for me, I don’t understand how this could help me at all or be enjoyable so I’m probably doing it wrong.

Any ideas?”

Don’t try to clear your mind or try to focus on your breathing.

Both of these are very difficult to do.

Instead, let your thoughts flow and pay attention to your important thoughts.

Address your important thoughts and find answers to them.

Meditation is about giving your mind time and space.

To start with your mind may be very busy, as you progress with your meditation you will find that your mind becomes clearer and clearer.
