Where is the best location to meditate?

“I’ve tried meditating but would like some advice on how to do this most effectively.

What I usually do is lying down in my bed before I start my day.

Would you say this is the wrong way?

Is it recommended to meditate sitting upright?

Should I get out of bed and do it in the living room floor for example.

Any tips would be appreciated!

Try all those ways and see what works for you.

Lying in your bed.

Lying on your bed.

Lying on your floor.

Sitting.

Many people find lying down allows them to fully relax their body which makes meditating easier.

Sitting is comfortable for some and uncomfortable for others.

When you are in bed this signals to your brain that it’s time to sleep. Lying on your bed is a small difference that helps to stay awake whilst meditating.

When lying on the floor use a pillow or cushion for your head to be comfortable.

There is no right or wrong position to meditate in, you are free to choose what feels comfortable for you.
