Having trouble with silent meditation since I’ve participated in guided meditations

“To start, I’m a beginner.

I was told to reconnect my mind-body so I’ve been meditating daily for 1 month.

Some days I will meditate multiple times randomly for 20 minutes, 1 hour, 5 minutes, up to a total of 3h meditation.

Other days I will only be able to meditate 20 minutes in the morning and 20 at night.

Recently my meditation habits have changed where I have trouble meditating and getting in a relaxed state unless using guided meditation but I feel that takes away from my inner monologue.

Am I creating a problem where there isn’t one or is this insight helpful to myself?

Thank you for taking the time to read this and answer.”

Great that you’ve built a daily meditation habit!

Guided meditation can be useful as a beginner.

Relying on guided meditation can limit your meditation long term.

Moving away from guided meditation may feel strange at first for your first few meditations but after that initial feeling has passed you will quickly get used to meditating without guidance.

Keep going without using guided meditation and your meditation will progress further and further.
