“So I started meditating a month back and became regular in my practice for the past 20 days.
It’s not a lot, only for 15 mins everyday and sometimes before sleeping.
I can already feel my anxiety levels go down and now I am able to observe when I am starting to become anxious instead of getting caught up in my anxiety.
Also I feel like I was addicted to anxiety in a strange way but now with the help of meditation, I have started to embrace peace in my life.
Whenever I start getting anxious, I always remember that I have my breath to ground me.
I use my phone as a timer and tonight when I meditated, it felt like 5 minutes.
It felt so quick I questioned if I even did 15.
Why is this?”
Time felt like it went faster because you are comfortable with how to meditate and are enjoying meditating.
Our perception of time changes based on many different factors.
You are at the stage where you have become comfortable with your meditation practice and are happy with how to meditate.
You have experienced the benefits of meditation and want to meditate.
These combined together cause your meditation time to feel like it goes past quickly.
Our perception of time varies and this impacts how we meditate.
Sometimes meditation will feel like it goes quickly and other times it will feel like it goes slowly.
