“My question is less about meditation techniques and more about looking for advice about where meditation best fits into one’s day.
I’ve struggled to maintain the routine I’ve set for myself of waking up, make breakfast and lunch, shower, get dressed, eat, meditate, start day.
This routine worked for me at one time but not now.
So many of the people that meditate on a morning seem to benefit but I can’t seem to make it work… and they can see the improvements in their daily life, but I feel like I’m floundering because I can’t find a way to start my day.
Where does meditation fit in a day?
Genuinely seeking guidance about what might work best and why!”
Try meditating first thing on a morning and last thing on an evening.
That way you start your day fresh and end your day relaxed.
Meditating first thing helps you clear your mind ready for the day ahead.
Meditating last thing helps you relax your mind ready for a good night’s sleep.
It may feel weird for a week or two whilst you get used to a new routine. Try for a month and see how meditating at the start and end of your day is working for you then make changes based on what suits your daily life best.
